YOUNG CHEFS COOKING CAMP (AGE 9-13)

July 30th – August 3rd for students aged 9-13 years – $325 plus GST per child
Classes will run from 11:30am to 4:30pm
Classes will have 9 spots available

The week will involve learning about the basics of food including:

  • Fresh herbs
  • Spices
  • Baking
  • Pizza making
  • Pasta making
  • Fruits and vegetables
  • Taco making

Lunch will be included from the food produced A signed waiver will be required for the week Some dietary aspects can be catered for The kitchen is not free of any allergens

Camp Dates

ADVANCED YOUNG CHEFS COOKING CAMP (AGE 11-14)

August 7th-10th for students aged 11-14 years – $275 plus GST per child
Classes will run from 11:30am to 4:30pm
Classes will have 9 spots available
The week will comprise:
  • Kitchen safety
  • Knife safety
  • Cutting techniques
  • Food safety
  • Fish preparation
  • Preparing a whole chicken
  • Salad and dressings
  • Pasta making
  • Sauces
  • Soup making
  • Basic bread
Lunch will be included from the food produced
A signed waiver will be required for the week
Some dietary aspects can be catered for
The kitchen is not free of any allergens

SATURDAY, JULY 14 - MADE IN SASKATCHEWAN - $100 plus GST

Using product only found in Saskatchewan we’ll go through the design process of making a menu from scratch then make it!

MONDAY, JULY 16 - BASIC SOURDOUGH WORKSHOP- $90 plus GST

$90 plus GST per person

This class is a basic introduction to Sourdough.

Included is a 250g Jar 8 month old starter and a loaf of Sourdough

we’ll cover:

WEDNESDAY, JULY 18 - MOROCCAN - $85 plus GST

THURSDAY, JULY 19 - SOURDOUGH PIZZA AND BEER - $85 plus GST

Make gourmet pizza and eat with craft beer (each purchase includes 2 beers)

FRIDAY, JULY 20 - THAI 2.0 - $85 plus GST

SATURDAY, JULY 21 - POPUP SEAFOOD - $125 plus GST

This class I’ll be cooking a menu designed around Charlie’s Seafood and designing a menu around wha’ts good that day. You’ll get to watch and ask questions and assist as needed as well as eat the end results. The menu won’t be decided until the day and will consist of 5 tasting plate courses served with a 3oz wine/spirit/beer.

MONDAY, JULY 23 - FRENCH 2.0 - $85 plus GST

TUESDAY, JULY 24 - SPANISH TAPAS - $85 plus GST

Menu: A selection of classic Spanish appetizers using meat seafood and vegetarian items.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 25 - FRENCH 3.0 - $95 plus GST

THURSDAY, JULY 26 - SALT- $90 plus GST

In this class we’ll look at techniques using salt that are used to enhance/cook/cure foods

  • Baked chocolate tart with Salted caramel sauce

FRIDAY, JULY 27 - BUTCHERY - $75 plus GST

Not sure how to prepare meats for the BBQ?

I’ll bring in whole pieces and break them down into portions

We’ll flavour and seal them ready for the BBQ.

You’ll have the option to purchase the meats once processed

Meats are NOT included in the price

You will need to eat before attending
